Flat Rock Playhouse is the home of The State Theatre of North Carolina. Considered one of the ten best seasonal theaters in the country. The Vagabond Players perform a variety of plays each summer. Some are family oriented, some are not. Check ahead of time to see what`s playing. Each season they put on comedies, classics, musicals, farces and mysteries (like Agatha Christie). Flat Rock Playhouse is open from late-April through mid-December. There are matinees and evening performances Wednesday through Sunday.
