Brevard Music Center is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Founded in 1936, the Music Center has matured into one of this country`s finest summer institutes and festivals. Over 400 students, ages 14 through post-college, come to the Music Center to study with outstanding artist faculty and visiting guest artists of national and international acclaim. For six weeks, talented students participate in a rigorous and enriching program of instruction including private lessons, large ensemble rehearsals, chamber music, and theory. Students, faculty and visiting artists present over 80 public performances throughout the summer.
